Manchester United co-owner Joel Glazer responds to criticism from club legend Gary Neville
Manchester United co-owner Joel Glazer has responded to criticism from club legend Gary Neville, according to Manchester Evening News.
The former United skipper is a vocal critic of American owners and has often spoken out against their leadership. This has only increased since they aligned themselves with the doomed European Super League proposals.
Neville often used his platform as a Sky Sports expert to attack ESL. He openly criticized Joel Glazer for signing the club into the draft, as well as the way the Glazers have run the club in their 16 years as owners.
“Gary has done so much for this club. Gary has good ideas, good thoughts. And they are heard.

The United owner was asked about it during the fan forum earlier this month. Joel went on to respond that he had no problem with the advanced point of view and adopted it in his stride.
“I know Gary was, to say the least, pretty tough on us, and that’s okay. Everyone has their point of view.
He adds that it is always better to accept criticism than to reject it outright. While Joel’s words suggest a welcome welcome for free speech, it won’t matter unless he takes active steps to address those concerns.
“There are two ways of looking at it; you can just kick the person out for not saying something nice about you and ignore them. Or you can take a break, you can listen.
Gary Nevile is Manchester United through and through
As the person who gave his life at United, Neville is a club legend with the best interests of the organization at heart. Joel acknowledges this and admits that the former star’s concerns have been heard loud and clear.
The other added that it is important to listen to others and accept criticism with an open mind. It remains to be seen whether he really thinks it or if he was just playing for the masses.
“People always have good points, good ideas and you have to take them to heart. You cannot ignore people. We can’t ignore things, we have to listen.
