Charles Barkley to quit ‘Inside the NBA’, blame cancels culture: ‘We can’t even have fun anymore’

Basketball legend Charles Barkley will be leaving his decades-long hosting gig on TNTs Inside the NBA program and he blames the cancellation culture.

During an appearance on Washington sports radio station WJFK, 106.7 The Fan, Mr Barkley called the social justice warriors who launch online attacks morons, and even criticized his bosses and co- animators on TNT.

It got so out of control right now, I couldn’t imagine having to watch myself. You can’t even have fun these days without these idiots trying to get you to cancel and things like that.

As a result, the 58-year-old Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns star will be out in two years.

[Im] just have fun, talk about sports. I try to hang on for a few more years until I’m 60, and then they can fuck my ass. I only work until I’m 60. I already told them. We can’t even have fun anymore. We’ve had fun all these years, and now all of a sudden in the last year and a half, everyone’s trying to get everyone fired, and it really sucks, Mr Barkley said.

The man dubbed both Sir Charles and the Round Bounce Mound said the fear of canceling the crop cooled the chemistry between him and his fellow hosts, which has made the show a success since the arrival of Mr. Barkley in 2000.

All we’re talking about behind the scenes now is, Yo man, be careful to go in that direction. We can’t even have fun anymore, Mr Barkley said. We’ve had fun all these years, and now all of a sudden for a year and a half, everyone’s been trying to get everyone fired and it’s really bad.

Not that the people behind the scenes are more courageous, he said.

Many of our bosses are cowards, he said, particularly citing a decades-old joke he made about San Antonio women and how, among other things, they should relax with their churros.

They won’t even let me talk about San Antonio anymore! You know, when I always talk about these great women in San Antonio? he said, referring to a town he was regularly taunted by baseline die-hards, especially during his time with the Suns.

He noted that he hadn’t called anyone personally fat in San Antonio, I was kidding. A lady wrote this article, you gonna leave a lady [cancel the joke] we’ve been having fun with this for 10, 15 years.
