LONDON (Reuters) – Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s office on Wednesday refused to respond to all allegations made by his former senior adviser Dominic Cummings, saying the British leader was focusing on the country’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier, Cummings rekindled an argument with Health Minister Matt Hancock, posting what he said was an exchange with the British Prime Minister who called the COVID-19 testing program utterly desperate.
When asked whether or not the posted message was genuine, a spokesperson for Johnsons said he would not go into details of what was posted.
I do not intend to commit myself with every claim made. The Prime Minister has announced that we will hold a public inquiry next year, the Health Secretary has given hours of testimony to the parliamentary committee and I have already answered a number of questions on this matter, he said. he told reporters.
Our goal is to recover from the pandemic, walk the roadmap, distribute vaccines and respond to public priorities, he said, adding that he had not directly questioned the prime minister about the new allegations.
