3 teams that could sign Larry Fitzgerald ahead of the 2021 season by Adam Patrick
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray and the rest of his teammates may have made a strategic decision this year.
When all the Arizona Cardinals players and coaches got together and decided to cut this year’s OTAs from 10 sessions to three, it was surprising given how abnormal last year’s offseason was. due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Then the news came earlier this week that during practice at the Miami Dolphins minicamp, Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw five interceptions, causing frustration among fans on the team. It was such a ruckus that some fans were ready to declare Miami’s 2021 season is already over.
It’s a bit hard, don’t you think? We all have to remember that this is just training and this is where it is good to make mistakes (just ask David Tyree how it worked for him). But did Tagovailoa’s struggles result in a chess shot from Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray?
Have less of the Arizona Cardinals’ OTA practices shielded Kyler Murray from criticism?
Tagovailoa and Murray both hold similar positions this year and they will be forever connected due to their head-to-head clash in the 2018 college football qualifiers.
Murray has also seen his leadership questioned throughout the offseason, including a rare response of applause that resonated with many Arizona fans.
Murray’s work ethic is beyond doubt. However, it may be a good idea to avoid having cameras and journalists at your training site. With the pressure on Murray to perform after he and the offense faltered in 2020, he must certainly feel it as he prepares for the season ahead.
There is no right or wrong here as of this writing. The only way we’ll really know is how that reflects in the Cardinals’ 2021 record. If the reduced OTA practice translates into a playoff berth and a deep run next season, then Arizona can continue to use this offseason strategy until she does. does not work anymore.
