Shannon Sharpe doesn’t quite agree with LeBron’s assessment of the NBA.
Recently, LeBron James got smoky for the NBA in light of all the injuries suffered in the playoffs. Anthony Davis fell for the Lakers in the first round, and in the second round, players like Kyrie Irving and Kawhi Leonard had to leave the field. As LeBron noted, the offseason was just too short and the schedule was too condensed. Many players have said that is the reason for all the injuries this season, and now fans are feeling wrong as some of their favorite players cannot even compete with their teams during the most important time of the season.
Over the weekend, TMZ caught up with Shannon Sharpe, who usually ends up agreeing with everything LeBron does. However, on this occasion, Sharpe disagreed with LeBron regarding his criticism of the NBA. As Sharpe notes, the players have agreed to the terms of the season and that money has always been their ultimate desire.

“Look, the NBA wanted money back, they were in a pandemic and lost money, but the players wanted to get these paychecks,” Sharpe said. “They couldn’t play without the NBA and the [NBA Players Association] Okay. So everyone is equally guilty because they needed the money and the players wanted the salary. It’s like that.”
As next season approaches, the NBA will get back to normal, so maybe the injuries will take a step back. We’ve been robbed of some great playoff games this year, though the unpredictability of the 2021 playoffs was certainly refreshing.
