Kamaru Usman responded to Nate Diaz after his recent criticism.
Diaz took to social media on Tuesday to blow up the welterweight champion for only fighting opponents he had previously beaten and knocked out. Usman was criticized for the rematch due to dominating Masvidal less than a year ago.
Now, however, after the criticism, Usman has responded to Diaz and hinted that he would be willing to fight him next time around.

“I see you 209. If you really want that 187, call your boy a hunter,” Usman wrote on Twitter.
There is no doubt that a Usman title fight against Nate Diaz would be huge. Diaz is a big draw and it would be another chance for him to win UFC gold. Still, he’s on a two-fight losing skid, so it would be difficult to give him the title fight. Colby Covington is also the number one contender and Leon Edwards appears to be on the rise after that.
Usman has already beaten them both, however, so maybe the promotion is fighting for the Diaz title to attract big numbers to the card. If Usman wins and does it by stoppage, that would also excite him more for his next appearances.
Kamaru Usman comes off a knockout victory over Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261 to defend his welterweight title. Prior to that, he had won a TKO victory over Gilbert Burns in February to defend his belt for the third time. He also defended his title against Masvidal at UFC 251 and Covington at UFC 245.
Nate Diaz and Leon Edwards after fight at UFC 263
Nate Diaz, meanwhile, just lost a decision to Leon Edwards at UFC 263. Still, the big story of the fight was the fact that the Stockton native nearly knocked out the Briton in the last minute and stole the game from him. star. He had also said that whatever the outcome of his fight he would get a title shot, so maybe he was right from the start.
