City Girls On Internet Critics Seeking Influence: It’s Not Even True Hate

JT and Yung Miami have been known to have an argument every now and then on the internet, and it appears to have taken a toll on the City Girls duo.

In a new interview with iD magazine, JT shared his gripes with Twitter and the internet in general. “Dude, let me tell you something,” JT said. “Put that in the magazine. At this point, I don’t care what nobody thinks. Dead ass. These people are going to invent what they are going to invent anyway. They don’t know me. They really don’t know [Yung Miami]. So I don’t care what they think.

She continued, “Twitter and the internet world has gotten out of hand. Period. It’s out of control. People have given the internet a thumbs up, and they’ve come a fucking mile. tweets, viral moments, comments … It’s not even real hate anymore.

Yung Miami agreed with his rap partner, explaining that the internet will criticize and tear people apart regardless of their actions. “You could give a million dollars, and they’re like, ‘You only gave a million dollars? “Miami said.” You could be a perfect fucking person in the world, and they’re always going to choose something about you that they don’t like. Ultimately, it’s your life. You cannot live to make others happy.

In the past, Miami has disputed her fans calling her by her government name, Caresha, instead of her stage name, signaling that she tries to keep boundaries between her personal and public life. “I feel raped every time a bitch sees me in public, she keeps yelling ‘Caresha’,” she tweeted in April. “STOP DOING WHAT I DON’T LIKE!” However, fans continued to troll her.

JT has also disabled his Twitter account on several occasions, most recently in March after facing backlash for his treatment of a fan who is believed to have cancer. Prior to that, in December, she had closed her account after old tweets surfaced containing remarks from colorists.
