First, it was the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Now it is prasadam elsewhere.

The BJP which lived on motives associated with organized Hinduism is facing a new accusation of biting that holy hand that fueled the party.

A sum of Rs 25 lakh allegedly disguised as a prasadam temple and delivered in a cloth bag with a banana sticking out is the latest result accusation of the poll against the President of Kerala BJP, K. Surendran, with the name of one of the RSS leaders too.

Surendran is already under investigation in two other corruption cases linked to the Assembly elections, while the state BJP has also been embroiled in a money laundering case suspected of being linked to the elections of the April 6.

The new controversy comes amid allegations that at least one person linked to a BJP leader committed murder by buying and selling land within months to the trust responsible for building the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

In Kerala, Praseetha Azhikode, treasurer of the aggrieved BJP party, Janadhipathya Rashtriya Party, told a TV station on Wednesday that the BJP general secretary of Wayanad district, Prashanth Malavayal, handed over 25 lakh to the head of the JRP on March 26. , now suspended, CK Janu. Janu had left the left a few weeks earlier and joined the NDA.

An audio tape of an alleged phone conversation between Praseetha and Surendran, leaked on Tuesday evening, had previously shown the male voice saying he had arranged to donate 25 for your party needs. The male voice suggested that the RSS official and the state’s BJP organizing secretary, Mr. Ganesh, would arrange the delivery.

Praseetha said the tape and the conversation were genuine, but Surendran denied the corruption allegation while remaining silent as to whether the voice on the tape was his own. Ganesh forms a triumvirate in BJP state with Surendran and Deputy Foreign Minister V. Muraleedharan.

Praseetha said the money was paid to a foster family in Wayanad where she, Janu and a few other JRP leaders had stayed.

He (Malavayal) came to our room seeing some media people in the Janus room, which was right across the street. He had a cloth bag with a banana sticking out of it, Praseetha told Mathrubhumi TV station.

When I asked him, he said it was from a puja conducted for the candidate (Janu, who was Sultan Bathery’s NDA candidate, Wayanad).

Praseetha said Malavayal refused to give the banana to a JRP leader who requested it, claiming it should be handed over to Janu since the ritual was conducted on his behalf.

Janu entered our room in five minutes. He (Malavayal) spoke to her for two minutes, handed her the bag and left. Janu took it and gave it to Vineetha (her assistant) who then took the bag to her room (Janus), Praseetha said.

Surendran denied the allegation. What disclosure are you talking about? Do you have no more news to share? It is as if something (strange) adhbhudham has happened, he told reporters.

What is happening is false propaganda. Police are investigating (anyway) he added, referring to the other two cases against him.

An audio cassette of another alleged telephone conversation between Praseetha and Surendran had already been leaked on June 2, in which the male voice agreed to pay Janu Rs 10 lakh to join the NDA.

Praseetha also acknowledged the veracity of this tape and said the money was paid in the first week of March at a hotel in Thiruvananthapuram during a visit to the city by Union Home Secretary Amit Shah . Surendran said the tape has been edited.

An FIR was filed on the charge of corruption of Rs 10-lakh and the JRP suspended Janu. Another FIR accuses Surendran of having paid Rs 2.5 lakh to his rival Bahujan Samaj Parity K. Sundara to withdraw his application documents from Manjeshwar, Kasaragod.

In the audio clip leaked Tuesday night, the male voice asks why Janu hadn’t answered Ganesh’s call.

Yes, I fixed it yesterday. Ganeshji may have called after determining how and where it was to be delivered. You got it? I told him to give 25 (lakh) for your party needs, he said.

The local unit will decide everything else. I told them to give 25. Please tell CK Janu to return the call.

The female voice replies that she doesn’t know if Janu has spoken to Ganesh. The male voice asks if Janu doesn’t know who Ganesh is.

When Ganeshji called, she said she would call back. Didn’t she know who Ganeshji is? Not only that, I can’t handle such things, the man said, apparently alluding to the alleged handing over of money.

In his TV interview, Praseetha said that the Ganesh he was referring to was indeed the organizing secretary of the state BJP.

He (a reference to Surendran) makes it clear (in the audio clip) that he is organizing Secretary Ganesh. He clarifies that Janu may not have known Ganesh, Praseetha said.

Ganesh called CK Janu but (she) may not have answered the call, being busy with election work. Otherwise, she didn’t know Ganesh’s number. This is why Surendran called me to ask Janu to answer the calls since the 25 (lakh) for the party was ready.

Several BJP leaders questioned in registered money laundering case in Kodakara, Thrissur, after highway robbery investigation led police to believe BJP-RSS was carrying Rs 3.5 crore in cash three days before the election.
