A critical review of the general hospital: flirting, grief and danger

[ad_1]

When it comes to the General Hospital, every fan has their own opinion and Soap Hub is no different. For five days we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we bring you a practical review and a cheeky review of the GH week that was.

General hospital: a week of reviews in review

Let’s hear it for the characters in the General Hospital who still drive the story weeks, months, and even a year after they die, and for the players without a contract who never fail to deliver.

Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is (presumably) frozen, and yet he still makes life difficult for Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) – who almost confessed to offending the disbeliever – Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).

The artist formerly known as Henrik is also to be thanked for bringing together Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).

If they didn’t feel so guilty about the part they played in his wickedness, they wouldn’t have been a detective in Pautauk, they wouldn’t have been forced to take shelter in place while a storm raged outside. , and they wouldn’t have had they almost kissed… Peter might have been bad to the bone, but he did good.

Then there is poor Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) who died in the general hospital. All this time later his machinations are finally exposed and as a direct result we finally have a momentum forward in the Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) / Cameron Webber (William Lipton) story.

It’s not much, but it’s a major step up from Josslyn’s ad nauseam praise of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and needlessly crawling at his feet.

And while it was great to see Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) best friend Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) make a cameo appearance, Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbi) proved she’s the real recurring MVP with her delivery. of the line, “Jason who?” when Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) announced her intention to “marry Jason”.

Other thoughts on GH

* Well, considering what we know to be true – he lives in Pautauk and Anna knew his father – it seems safe to say that Austin is the offspring of Quartermaine bastard Jimmy Lee Holt … but what should we do with his interest in The Corinthos family and his cousin Jason Morgan? It’s not like Jason has any interest in ELQ or even cares about Qs – with the exception of Monica (Leslie Charleson).

* While it was nice to hear that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) still owned Charlie’s, are we just supposed to forget that Julian Jerome (William de Vry) sold him to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)?

* Wait, let’s get it straight. Did Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) really say Carly and Jason were legal guardians of each other’s children? The writers expect us to believe that if Jason were to suffer an untimely fate, Liz and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) would let Carly have a say in raising their children with Jason? HA!

* Speaking of Sam, did it take someone else a minute to remember that she and Ava are related by blood and that it might have something to do with Sam’s intervention during Ava’s drunken scene at Metro Court?

And we’re also starting to wonder if Ava is actually considering a divorce from Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). The scene mentioned above was just a little too showy, and her subsequent chatter with Carly and Jason, of all people, really aroused our suspicion. Maybe she’s making all these waves hoping the stalker will reveal himself so she can put a bullet in it?

* Why wasn’t Aidan present at Cameron’s graduation party? And who was looking at him? Great-grandmother Audrey, 90 years old or so?

* Aside from a few random dramatic conflicts, why would Ellie suddenly decide that she has a problem with the career chosen by Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)?

* Didn’t Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) have any friends other than Josslyn and Cameron to invite to her graduation party? We spotted what appeared to be about three young people in the middle of this sea of grown people.

* Has anyone else found Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) to be overly accepting the (supposed) mating of Elizabeth and Finn? Franco is dead, what, three months?
