Dele Alli does not blame José Mourinho for having suffered the worst season of his professional career.
The 25-year-old fell out of favor under Mourinho at Tottenham last season, having played just 233 total minutes in 32 league games under the Portuguese before showing up more regularly for the final games of the season when Ryan Mason took over as interim boss in April.
Alli was a regular in England until the 2018 World Cup, but has never been realistic in contention for Euro 2020 after a few disappointing seasons at the north London club.

“Playing better and better” – Mourinho PRAISE Shaw

Alli blames himself and not Mourinho for his lack of playing time and is committed to improving ahead of the new campaign.
The only person I blame is myself, ”he told Goal.
“I should be performing at a level where it’s hard not to put myself in the squad or play me. I don’t blame anyone other than myself.
Working with Mourinho was a great experience and I learned a lot.
Tottenham hired former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo as their new manager last week and Alli say he hopes to have his best season as a professional under him.
He [Nuno] did a great job at Wolves, ”he said.
“I can’t wait to talk to him and work with him. He’s a great manager and it’s an exciting time. I want to make this one of the best years I’ve had. A lot of people have said that I had to find the form I was in a few years ago.
“For me, I don’t even want to get there, I want to go beyond that and reach my full potential to be the best player I can be. It’s been a tough few years but I worked hard and analyzed this that I need to do to get better.
“I trained a lot most days of my vacation. I didn’t feel like I needed a lot of rest, so I’m training all the way. Everyone’s looking for that extra few percent. , then you have to follow. I feel great and the best that I have felt in a long time. “
