[ad_1]

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ The Gloucester Township Police Department reminds drivers to keep a cool head when driving.

The warning comes after officers responded to a vehicle crash around 7 a.m. Wednesday on Somerdale Road outside the Broadmoor housing estate.

Police say the accident was caused by aggressive driving.

“We all know it’s hot outside, but drivers need to keep a cool head when operating their vehicles,” the police department said on its official Facebook page. “Slow down, keep your eyes on the road and don’t get distracted by your phone, and as always STAY SAFE!”

Officers did not specify what led to the crash. Fortunately, the driver and another person involved were not injured, police said.

Aggressive driving is a factor in more than half of all motor vehicle fatalities, according to a report from the AAA Foundation for Road Safety.

Any dangerous driving behavior, carried out deliberately and with bad intent or with disregard for safety is considered aggressive driving, according to the report.
