This is a very bad time for MuTeX to receive accusations of cheating in Warzone. That’s not to say he’s guilty of cheating, but cheating in Warzone is a serious issue right now. Cronus is a program that can be used to cheat in Call of Duty, but it also has uses in the CoD pro scene for local networks. The worst issue in Warzone right now is cheating (other than bugs), and MuTeX is one of the biggest names in Warzone, period. A streamer with a variety of world records is serious business. On July 7, he showed his PC desktop streaming. There was Cronos Max.
His explanation makes sense, but what is it?
For those who don’t know, Cronus is a program that can be used to cheat. However, it also has a tournament mode setting. When Tournament Mode is enabled, all settings and features on your controller / PC that would give you an unfair advantage are disabled. This is probably why it was used at CoD LAN events, to avoid accusations of cheating for people like MuTeX. These days, however, Cronos is used to cheating, and it is difficult to follow someone who is actually using him for malicious purposes. With that in mind, it is incredibly suspicious to see it streaming on a Cronus PC.
MuTeX doesn’t use it to cheat in Warzone, he says. He claims to have forgotten he’s been there ever since he used it around the time he participated in CoD: WWII. You would use Cronus at home and get used to how it affects your performance in the game. That way when you got to LAN you were ready to play. Yes, that makes perfect sense. If this is true, it makes perfect sense. MuTeX then returned to his stream to try to prove his innocence.
It is strange that Cronos has disappeared from his computer at this point, having probably deleted it. If he doesn’t use it, it doesn’t make sense to delete something that everyone knows is there. MuTeX also claims to show its setup before each broadcast and often uses a manual camera to make sure no one can accuse it of cheating. We are not accusing MuTeX of cheating at all. Some of his decisions were rather strange. It’s just a very awkward time for someone to have cheating accusations, especially someone as skilled as MuTeX in Warzone. It is likely that will pass, and the streamer will prove that he is innocent of any wrongdoing. MuTeX is consistent in its gameplay and does a lot to prove it’s level and doesn’t cheat. His explanation and logic are solid, but it’s just a really bad time for something like this to happen.
