Blake reacts to criticism of Brendan’s friendship

May the best win? Bachelorette star Blake Moynes didn’t seem to be fazed by criticism that he joined Katie Thurstons’ season, pitting him against his longtime friend Brendan Scanzano.

Longtime friendship on and off the ice with this guy. He’s awesome and like a brother to me, Brendan tweeted about their close bond on Wednesday July 21, after being knocked out during the Monday July 19 episode. Guess we had to address the elephant in the room, Brendan continued, ending rumors that there is animosity between them after they’ve been on the show. The two contestants for Season 17 are from Canada and they also play hockey together.

On Thursday, July 22, Blake hit back after a fan asked him why he was on the show knowing that Blake was already there competing for Katies ailments. Sounds pretty crappy to me, argued the social media user. They call me ckblock Blake, he joked in response, which Brendan then retweeted.

Before Katie, 30, chose Blake as one of her top four contenders and sent Brendan to pack his bags, news of the guys’ friendship came out. However, it has yet to be discussed on the ABC dating series. The only thing they didn’t address was that Blake and Brendan, the guy with, like, the bouffant, knew each other before the show, told E! News at the beginning of July. And Blake suggested that Brendan come on the show. And so, when he shows up later, he thinks to himself: What are you doing here? You told me to come here!

In addition to Brendan, Katie also sent Greg Grippo, Justin Glaze, and Michael Allio on their way ahead of their highly anticipated dates in his hometown.

It’s definitely an emotional roller coaster for Katie. She doesn’t hold back and will tell it as it is, an insider once told Life & Style about her journey to find love. At one point, she threatened to quit the show. It really touched her, and she couldn’t take it anymore, the source explained. She just walked away from the cameras. She kept changing how she felt and her thoughts were everywhere. You will see later this season how difficult it was for her.

On the plus side, it looks like Brendan and Blake are still close!
