A Russian military plane catches fire and crashes in a huge explosion with three fears that there are dead

A stunning video shows the second prototype Russian military transport aircraft crashing and exploding right now on a control flight with three people fearing they were dead.

Footage shows the plane had trouble on the right side of the engine earlier than a direct tilt and fall into a forest nearly a mile from the runway at Kubinka Airport, Moscow, on Tuesday.

A huge fireball and a column of smoke were uploaded from the crash site. The rescue operation was underway on Tuesday with the fate of the three passengers unclear.

The plane was reportedly operated by Nikolai Kuimov, 63, a legendary control pilot, and adorned the Russian Federation’s fleet that had flown more than 35 completely different varieties of aircraft.

Also on board were lead pilot Dmitry Komarov, 51, and top flight control engineer Nikolai Khludeev, 56.

The crash involved the Russian-made senior military transport aircraft Ilyushin Il-112V, which is considered a key board in Vladimir Putin’s vast military modernization under way.

“The plane exploded after the fall and has now been completely destroyed,” said a spokesman for the emergency services.

The plane was reportedly flown by Nikolai Kuimov, 63, a legendary control pilot, and adorned the Russian Federation’s fleet that flew more than 35 completely different varieties of aircraft.

Also on board was top pilot Dmitry Komarov, 51, and it is reported that the plane exploded and was destroyed.

First-class flight engineer Nikolai Khludeev, 56, was aboard the plane, which is a gentle and flexible modern-day transport aircraft for troops or cargo.

The first flight of the Il-112V was on March 30, 2019 and after that design adjustments were made.

But its builders had made ready-made serial construction of the plane that was to be put into service with the Russian army.

“This is a crucial opportunity for our production facilities and for the entire in-house aircraft business,” a press release said.

“We are proud that the original prototype Il-112V military transport aircraft built at Voronezh Air Force will participate in the nation’s key annual military event, the World Military Technical Discussion Board Army-2021.

“Participation in the discussion board is another serious step in the implementation of this program.”
