Russian President Vladimir Putin today oversaw massive military exercises at an impressive distance from Europe, including the invasion of the beach by the world’s largest aircraft.
About 2,000 soldiers and more than 200 pieces of military equipment appeared in the exercise as troops landed at a war game in Kaliningrad, on Russia’s border with the European Union.
Elsewhere, Putin attended military exercises, jointly with Belarus, Armenia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia, at the Mulino field in the Nizhny Novgorod region in his role as commander of the armed forces.
Nine fields in Russia, including the Baltic Sea, and five in Belarus are hosting joint military exercises of concern to Ukraine.
In Kaliningrad, the footage showed the huge landing exercise involving Baltic fleets and others in the LCAC of the Zubr class, the largest hovercraft in the world.
For the purpose of transporting attack units from ships to shores, the Soviet hovercraft design can also transport and place naval minefields.

In another video, Russian helicopters were deployed in the large-scale Zapad-2021 exercise deploying 200,000 troops to highlight Russia’s military readiness in the West – and neighboring Ukraine.
There are only 10 such hovercrafts currently active, two with the Russian Navy, four with the Greek Navy and four with the Chinese Navy.
Before the troops landed, a group of attack ships fired an artillery barrage along the coast to neutralize the defenses.
The paratroopers ‘and marines’ landings were supported by Su-30SM multi-role fighters and Baltic Fleet Su-24 front-line bombers.

The Mi-35 and Mi-24 helicopter carousel attacks aimed to cause continuous fire damage to communications, command posts and communication routes in the areas occupied by the “enemy”.

The exercises are set to end on September 16, but Russia has said it will not return all its troops to their military bases by mid-October, the defense ministry said, without elaborating on the delayed return.
Mass exercises plus an announcement of closer ties between Russia and the dictatorship of Belarus have frightened Ukraine.
Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba warned: “Scenarios applied there pose serious risks [to Ukraine]The
“We understand that if Russia absorbs Belarus in one way or another, we will have an additional 1,000 kilometers of risk to our sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
His predecessor, Paul Klimkin, warned that Russia was seeking to encircle Ukraine with force and called on NATO to help.
Exercises continue in a region of Russia from the Baltic to the border with Ukraine, while separate exercises are under way in the Arctic.
During exercises in the Arctic, the Russian nuclear submarine Oryol appeared to launch a Granit cruise missile anti-ship in the Barents Sea, where the waters were closed to non-naval vessels during the vast wars.
