On September 1, 2021, the 3rd China-Central and Eastern European Countries (Cangzhou) SME Cooperation Forum was held in Cangzhou. Deng Li said that on February 9 this year, President Xi Jinping presided over the China-CEEC Leaders’ Meeting to build new consensus and inject new impetus into the cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries under the new situation. At the summit, President Xi Jinping put forward the goal of importing more than 170 billion U.S. dollars of goods from Central and Eastern European countries in the next five years, speeding up the entry of agricultural products from Central and Eastern European countries into China and realizing a doubling of Central and Eastern European countries. ‘Export to China’s agricultural products, and increase bilateral agricultural trade by 50% in the next five years. Deng Li hopes that companies from both sides will seize opportunities, determine areas of cooperation, create motivation for cooperation, innovate cooperation methods, seek cooperation and synergy, and strive for more pragmatic results. China is willing to work with all parties to follow the trend of the times and jointly promote new progress in SME cooperation.

The leaders of Hebei Province, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Cangzhou City stated that there are many small and medium-sized enterprises in Central and Eastern European countries, each with its own characteristics and advantages. It is hoped that all parties will take this forum as an opportunity to continue to expand the areas of cooperation among SMEs, further promote the growth of SMEs in China and Central and Eastern European countries, enrich bilateral cooperation, and make positive contributions to prosperity. And the development of the world economy.

With the theme of “new kinetic energy, new chapter, and new future”, this forum includes a series of activities such as high-end forums, special seminars, economic and trade negotiations, virtual signings, and friendly city negotiations. More than 500 companies from China and Central and Eastern European countries participated in the event.
