Brigadier General Steve Moorhouse, commander of the aircraft carrier strike group, said in a Twitter video that the visit was part of the UK’s commitment to strengthening “diplomatic, economic and security ties in the Indo-Pacific region.”
He also vowed that this visit will “reach a whole new level” of bilateral relations with Japan.
“The existence of the Carrier Strike Group reflects the UK’s support for the freedom and security of important trade routes in the region, as well as its support for an international system that benefits all countries,” Moorhouse said.
According to the Yokosuka City Government, the 1,240 crew members of the “Queen Elizabeth” will not disembark.
Britain’s newest naval superpower will leave the base next Thursday.
The ship’s arrival follows a joint exercise held by Japan, the United States, the Netherlands and Canada since Thursday, which aims to strengthen cooperation among participating countries.
The action also hopes to contribute to the ideology of the “free and open Indo-Pacific region” in the West.
The Queen Elizabeth left Britain in May and stopped several times in the Allied Powers on its way to the South China Sea.

According to the Royal Navy, this state-of-the-art aircraft carrier with the same name as Her Majesty was first put into service in 2017. It is the largest aircraft carrier in the UK and can transport up to 40 aircraft.
When the ship arrived in Japan, China announced a new set of maritime laws aimed at regulating foreign ships in the region.
According to the “Taipei Times” report, the new law will require all foreign ships entering Chinese waters to carry permits and notify maritime authorities to enter Chinese waters, which is described as a “time bomb” of potential conflict.
The China Maritime Safety Administration stated that the new regulations apply to any foreign ships deemed “endangering China’s maritime traffic safety.”

Su Ziyun, director of the National Defense Strategy and Resources Department of the Taiwan National Defense and Strategic Research Institute, believes that these laws may not only cover the waters around China.
Mr. Su claimed that these regulations will also cover the 12 nautical miles surrounding Beijing’s artificial reefs in the South China Sea-which greatly expands China’s control over the region.
