Maduro ally Alex Saab extradited to US as Venezuela suspends opposition talks

It was not immediately clear whether the men who were convicted and sentenced last year to lengthy prison terms in a corruption case that the United States said was flawed were returned to jail, or if that decision was related in any way to Saab’s extradition. An attorney for the men told The Associated Press he did not know where they were being taken. The six men president and interim general manager Jos ngel Pereira and vice-presidents Vadell, Gustavo Crdenas, Jorge Toledo, Alirio Zambrano, Jos Luis Zambrano were born in Venezuela. Five are naturalized US citizens; one is a permanent resident of the United States.
