Roadworks will take place on Kettering Road and New Road, Geddington

Residents will soon benefit from an improved road surface through Geddington as maintenance work requiring full closures will take place on weekdays from Monday 27th February to Friday 3rd March and again from Friday 10th March during six days (including weekends) on Kettering Road and New Road. , Geddington.

The works will improve the structural stability of the road, increase skid resistance and improve the safety of road users. Works include pavement resurfacing, installation of road markings and high friction surfacing, which reduces the risk of vehicles skidding in wet and dry weather.

During the works, a closure will be in place to cross traffic on Kettering Road and New Road, Geddington from Weekley Roundabout to Newton Road, with a diversion in place at all times.

Residents and businesses will still have access, but will need to enter from the north of the village at the Newton Road closure point and should plan their journey accordingly.

Maintaining our motorway network is important, which is why we have launched the 1.5m Investment Plan – and while we will always try to minimize disruption, road closures are sometimes necessary to achieve it and, in this case, there is no other option. We understand that there will be some inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience while the works take place at Geddington and ask people to follow the signed deviation.
