BROWNSVILLE, TX- Oliver Rich, Special Agent in Charge of the San Antonio Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), whose territory includes Brownsville, Texas, announced today that the FBI is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the or responsible persons. for the assault and kidnapping of four American citizens, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, on March 3, 2023.

Shortly after crossing into Mexico, unidentified gunmen shot the passengers in the vehicle. The four Americans were placed in a vehicle and taken away from the scene by armed men.
