Ukraine says more Chinese components found in Russian weapons

London/Frankfurt – Ukrainian forces are finding more and more components from China in Russian weapons used in Ukraine, a senior adviser to the office of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said, as Western supplies are squeezed by sanctions.

“We continue to find different electronic devices in weapons recovered from the battlefield,” said Vladyslav Vlasiuk, who advises the president’s chief of staff on sanctions policy.

“The trend now is that fewer and fewer parts are made in the West, but it’s not hard to guess which country made the parts. China, of course,” he said in a video call.
