The opposition cannot defeat Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan: Fawad Chaudhry
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said on Sunday that Pakistani Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif could not make decisions on his own.
In a statement, the minister said the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has always taken undemocratic measures during his tenure. Sindh faces dictatorship in the name of democracy, he added.
Fawad Chaudhry further said that the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) and the opposition alliance Maulana Fazlur Rehman wanted to disrupt the system. The opposition cannot defeat Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, he added.
Earlier, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said that the government does not want to keep Nawaz Sharif in jail, he will be free to go anywhere after returning the looted money.
Speaking to Skardu Press Club media on Saturday, he said the government is also working on legislation to make Gilgit Baltistan an interim province in the country. He said a historic share of the current budget had been announced for Gilgit Baltistan.
He said the launch of new Pakistan International Airlines flights to Skardu would help promote tourism in the province.
The minister said our enemies have designed conspiracies, but the people of Britain feel they are associated with Pakistan. He said GB has great importance in the China-Pakistan economic corridor due to its geographic location.
He said steps will be taken to establish a training center at the Skardu Press Club to train young journalists in digital media. He stressed the need to promote environmental and wildlife reporting.
