Michael Gove’s wife Sarah Vine says the reason so many politicians cheat is because their wives knew them before they were masters of the universe.

Ms Vine compared Mr Hancock to his “political mentor”, former Chancellor George Osborne – who recently announced that he had separated from his wife Frances and was expecting a child with Thea Rogers, his former political adviser.
