“Nabi Keita keeps his place, but Robertson has to come back”
Paul Gorst: This is an early test of Liverpool and Chelsea’s ambitions for the Premier League title.
The Reds went in full force to Stamford Bridge even earlier last season and were comfortably a better team against the London side.
This might be a little closer though.
The big fight of course is Romelu Lukaku against Virgil van Dijk, but it will be interesting to see how Chelsea’s left side dealt with the raid threat of Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

In midfield, Fabinho should return alongside Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita, who maintains his place after an excellent start to the season.
As much as Costas Tsimikas has outsourced Andy Robertson during his absence, the Scot has to return.
And as he shines in front of goal now, I will rule out Diogo Jota for Roberto Firmino.
Liverpool: Alisson. Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dyck, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Keita; Salah, Firmino, Mane.
“Diogo Jota’s Drop by Roberto Firmino”
Ian Doyle: The best team in Europe is in town this evening.
They play with Chelsea.
But before the lolsworths get into a-jabberin’, let’s take a look at who Jurgen Klopp could pick for Liverpool to visit Thomas Tuchel’s transfer squad. or something like that.
Kostas Tsimikas has proven ready for the Reds but Andy Robertson can return at left-back, with the rest of the defense left intact.
In midfield, Jordan Henderson is present while Fabinho will return to the defensive role.
Which leaves four in one. Thiago Alcantara isn’t quite a match, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is still rediscovering the role, and Harvey Elliott has plenty of time to shine in matches like this in the future.

Naby Keita, then, is keeping his place in the engine room.
As for attacking, Diogo Jota has opened the scoring in both games this season, but I’ve been putting him on the bench for Roberto Firmino, who can upset Jorginho, who now appears to be considered by many as the best player in the world when he’s not even the best linebacker. Midfielder in the Chelsea squad.
Now stranger than folk.
My team (4-3-3): Alison. Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dyck, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Keita; Salah, Firmino, Mane.
Thiago is wanted against Chelsea
Theo Squires: If Liverpool are to stand a chance of winning the Premier League this season, they must top the top four in the mini-league, and Saturday’s clash with European champions Chelsea gives them an early chance to make a big statement.
The Reds know how confident a Champions League victory can be for a team, so why not start with as many European champions as possible led by Jurgen Klopp?
It’s incredibly tough on Kostas Tsimikas after his brilliant start to the season, but the Greek pulls out for return Andy Robertson, although she’s not broken, doesn’t fit him in the center back as I’d go for the back five who kicked off Liverpool’s Champions League final win over Tottenham two years ago.
Two midfield changes with Fabinho back in sixth as captain Jordan Henderson moved forward, with Thiago Alcantara winning over Naby Keita. Against players like Jorginho, the Reds need his ball-holding abilities, a trio that started again and won the European Cup finals.
Attacking up front is arguably the hardest decision to make with Diogo Jota as a man in good shape, but with Roberto Firmino he looks good in reserve so far this season as well.
I’ll go for the Brazil all-out to upset the Chelsea defense line and reunite the tried and trusted front three, as opposed to the Portuguese goal’s thirst, although he can still make a huge impact off the bench.
My team (4-3-3): Alison. Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dyck, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Firmino, Mane.
