The ACC regular season championship and number one in the ACC women’s football tournament are on the line when Virginia’s 1st and 3rd Florida State meet in Tallahassee.

Former no. 1 Seminoles comes into this game after their first loss in the 2021 season. They fell to Duke 1-0 on Sunday, October 24th. When the ‘Noles return home, they have a Home Audience behind them. FSU have been at home 178-15-9 since 2005, when Mark Krikorian became head coach, and this season they are undefeated in Tallahassee (8-0-0).

The Cavaliers rose to the top of the latest standings after winning convincing Louisville (4-1) and Miami (6-1). These two wins have guaranteed them at least a share of the ACC regular season championship, even if they lose to Florida State. A Virginia win or draw would raise the ACC crown directly.

Currently, Virginia Diana Ordonez leads the ACC with 13 goals and wins the conference regular season scorer championship. If FSU’s Beata Olsson (11) scores two goals on Thursday, he will face Ordonez. With three or more, Olsson takes the lead.
