The Fultondale family will receive a surprise from Cricket Wireless in honor of the holidays

FULTONDALE, Ala. (WBRC) – One family in Fultondale got a huge and well-deserved surprise for the holidays.

Cricket Wireless partnered with AG Gaston Boys and Girls Club to give the Burks family $ 5,000, an unforgettable surprise that will help the family “stress less, smile more” this holiday season.

Mother Karrissa Burks and her two sons, Dallas and Austin, were surprised by the money to help them meet critical needs.

We were able to get a remote-controlled car, a Nintendo Switch that was hard to find, “said Tommie Henry, Cricket’s senior marketing manager.” Clothes, Visa gift cards to help, and other items mom and kids might need later on the trip.

The last gift was a $ 1,000 gift card for electric bills that got Karrissa in tears.

“I’m really grateful because I didn’t know what I was going to do for them at Christmas,” said Karrissa Burks. “And now look at God!”

The family is one of many conditions across the country that will surprise you in 12 days as part of Cricket Wireless’s “12 Days of Cricket” initiative.

“Oh, it’s priceless. I have four children, and seeing a smile on the faces of children and also parents means a lot to them. If you’re older and you can see your children being happy and getting the things they want, it’s always a good story to tell,” Henry said.
