Women’s Hockey 2023-24 Conference Schedule – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State women’s hockey team’s 28-game conference schedule for the 2023-24 season has been set, the Western Collegiate Hockey Association announced Wednesday. The Buckeyes, who finished 23-4-1 in league play last year, will be playing in their 25th season in program history this fall.

The 2022-23 WCHA regular season champion Buckeyes will begin the conference at the same venue as last season at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth, Minn. Ohio State and Minnesota Duluth will meet on the 13th-14th. October to open their 28-game WCHA schedule. The Buckeyes continue their season on the road next weekend, returning to Minnesota against St. Thomas on the 20th-21st. October

In the first home series of the 2023-24 campaign, Ohio State will face Minnesota on June 27-28. October Last year at the OSU rink, the Buckeyes had the highest attendance average in program history and a winning record of 16-1-2.

Ohio State will make its final road trip of 2023 with Bemidji State on March 3-4. November. After that, the team will host three consecutive conference series, starting with the national championship rematch against Wisconsin on March 17-18. November. The Buckeyes close out the calendar year with series against St. Cloud State (Dec. 1-2) and Minnesota State (Dec. 9-10) in Columbus.

Ohio State’s first games of 2024 will be played on the 12th-13th. January in Minnesota. Minnesota Duluth will be the Buckeyes’ first opponent at the OSU rink in the new year, and the teams will meet on the 19th-20th. January.

For the second year in a row, the Buckeyes will host St. Thomas on the final home weekend of the regular season (Feb. 23-24) and travel to Wisconsin for the regular season finale (Feb. 23-24).

At the end of the regular season, all eight league teams advance to the conference tournament, and teams are ranked according to the WCHA standings. The top four will each host a best-of-three quarterfinal series on the weekend of the 1st-3rd. March, and the four winners will face off in the Kwik Trip WCHA Final Faceoff semifinals on March 8.
