As one of the OG style influencers, Aime song has kept the fashion world captivated with her ensembles both on and off social media for years. The digital entrepreneur is known for her luxurious and carefully curated looks, but she also has a mix of highs and lows. That’s why he’s partnered with Marshall launching Edit by Marshalls, their inaugural season report. “People know I work with a lot of luxury brands, and I wanted to work with Marshalls because they also have amazing luxury brands that you can find at affordable prices,” said Song. I know not much of my audience can always afford the things I wear that are usually straight off the runway. So if I can help them create a more budget-friendly look and shop smart, why not?
Not only does Song have style advice to share, but he also has tips for finding hidden gems in Marshalls. It’s easy to sort online and feels a bit more curated, too, he says. But if you want to enter the shop, what makes it so special is that each shop is unique. You never know what you’re going to find, and the shoppers at Marshalls do a great job making sure everything is on trend. If you see something on the runway, you can actually find something similar in stores.
It also helps to have a plan. When I shop, I’m not the type to walk in and think, what am I going to find today? said the song. I always have an idea of what I want to get, because I’m shopping for a specific event or event. I try to embody what I’m looking for, whether it’s a big shoulder dress or for a wedding in a certain color.

To get the high-low mix, it’s all about finding the right balance to make those budget cuts pop. The misconception about budget cuts is that they are not of good quality, said Song. What’s great about Marshalls is that they have quality stuff at affordable prices, so even if the price is low, you’re still getting a high-end look. My favorite way to shop and splurge is to invest in quality, timeless pieces. I would spend a fortune on an amazing trench coat because I know I will have it in my closet for years. Or that amazing leather blazer or pair of leather pants I’d splurge on because season after season matters.
The song’s strategy was to save on trendy songs. I don’t want to spend thousands of dollars on neon stuff that’s out of vogue next season, he says. For festivals I like to dress very differently, usually a little more out there. But I don’t want to spend so much money on festival clothes that I might end up wearing maybe two or three times. I never shop for something I’m only going to wear once, for me it’s a waste of money.
Ready to shop the hottest fashion trends for summer 2023? Song shares his favorites:
Sport
Yep, the athleisure trend is still going strong. I’m a very sporty person so I like sports, but I don’t like wearing sweatpants and T-shirts. I like to look cute, said Song. I play a lot of tennis and a lot of people now like pickleball. I often wear a tennis skirt but it’s not a simple white tennis skirt. I wear lots of colorful skirts and style them with fun colored socks.
To keep her workout outfit from looking like it came from the gym, pair it with a button-down shirt or sweater. I’ll wear a sweater instead of a sweater, said Song. I love a good sweater moment. But also, it sounds like you’re a bit more interested. When I travel, I wear sweatpants like leggings or sweatpants, but I always style them with buttons and a blazer so they don’t look sloppy, but still comfortable.

Bold and Bright
I love color, especially for spring and summer, but also in winter I don’t wear all black, said Song. Color makes me so happy. Even her workout clothes have the color of bright leggings. He believed the easiest way to do it big color is with monochromatic clothing. Whenever I do street style while at Fashion Week in Paris and Italy, I keep getting reprogrammed and I know I look like an eggplant. I am wearing a full purple outfit. But I like it. Sometimes it’s hard to see what colors pair and it’s just too much. So, for me the easiest way is monochromatic. Pairing a light purple sweater with dark purple denim in a similar tone or color will make the look blend effortlessly. Very happy color and you stand out and it’s a lot of fun.
Casual Luxury
As Songs for an everyday look, she was all about quiet luxury before even having a name. I like high-end-looking pieces that feel a little understated; it wasn’t too loud, he said. Not all monograms, you know? Ten years ago I was the other way around. I was like a monogram, monogram, look at me, trying really hard. But as I’ve gotten older and now that I’m in my 30s, I really love that relaxed, luxurious look.

suitable suitable
I like a matching sets Wait a minute, Song said. Dressing is so easy when you fit, like if you have one blazer with matching trousers or combine the vest with the same pants. I love it.
Jet-setter Chic
When going on vacation, Song notes that people tend to focus on how they look for each location, or even what they’ll be wearing on a plane, but they don’t consider the accessories that got them there. He points out that your suitcase will be in your airport selfie, so get one that’s both fun and functional. A good suitcase or accessory suitable for traveling is also important, he says. People don’t think about what you will pack all your beautiful clothes that you spend so much money. You want a durable suitcase. If you go to the beach, what do you put all your things in? Personally, Song opts for an oversized raffia bag, but never in neutral shades she seeks a pop of color.
