Retired NHL All-Star defenseman Keith Yandle and two-time All-American Brian Yandle joined St. Louis Blues center Kevin Hayes on Wednesday for the third day of the Yandles’ first annual hockey camp in Nantucket.

The camp is divided into two groups: the first group is 7-13-year-olds and the second group is 14-18-year-olds. The pictures below were taken while the older group was on the ice.

Brian Yandle reported Current that this camp will continue to be held on Nantucket for years to come, and the brothers hope to help more young island hockey players as the camp grows.

The players went through many drills while on the ice – performing both group coaching and individual instruction.

Keith Yandle played 16 seasons in the NHL. In 1109 games, he scored 103 goals and gave 516 assists and scored 619 points.

Yandle earned the nickname Iron Man after playing an incredible 989 consecutive NHL games, which was previously the NHL record, when he passed Doug Jarvis in January 2022. Phil Kessel broke the record in October 2022.

Brian Yandle played his college hockey at the University of New Hampshire where he played defense and scored 99 points in 153 games. He also worked in the American Hockey League (AHL) and the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). He has more than 15 years of coaching experience.

Guest coach Kevin Hayes is entering his 10th season in the NHL. The St. Louis Blues acquired him in a trade this month from the Philadelphia Flyers. Hayes has played 634 games, scoring 155 goals, 231 assists and 386 points. He was the Flyers’ second-leading scorer last season.

Keith Yandle and Hayes were former teammates in the NHL when they both played for the New York Rangers from 2014-2016.
