News in a wink
A bipartisan group that is supposed to represent the community is suppressing our members.
There are only Democrats in the Congressional Black Caucus, and Republican Rep. Wants to join. Byron Donald.
Donald appealed for his uniqueness. He is currently one of two Black Republicans and the CBC ignores his attempt to participate.
“My intuitive reaction failed,” he said.
“I’m really looking forward to it. I understand that there are issues I can’t agree on. However, iron tightens steel. And I think it’s important to have such an argument. And it’s embarrassing that they don’t seem to happen.”
Why is this happening? Sources told BuzzFeed News The move to exclude Donald was caused by a vote against proving the success of President Joe Biden’s electoral college.
Donald pointed this line from Biden on the campaign trail: “I’m telling you, if you’re having trouble deciding whether you’re looking for me or Trump, you’re not black.”
Donald said he used these words to motivate himself.
“What I don’t think is appropriate is that everyone has to participate in his or her monolithic groupthink. It’s really destructive for a country like ours. People express their opinions. You have to have the freedom and ability to do, and you should not be excluded because of their opinions. “
Donald said race does not define party boundaries.
WINK News asked CBC for comment, but it did not respond.
