Ljubljana stock indices extend winning run

LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), Jan. 20 (SeeNews) – The two stock indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) closed for the third consecutive day in green territory on Thursday, as petroleum and fuel retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG] and lender Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) [LJE:NLBR] won the most, according to stock market data.

Petrol shares rose 1.82% to EUR 560, while NLB shares rose 1.74% to EUR 82, data from LJSE shows.

On the other hand, pharmaceutical company Krka [LJE:KRKG] followed the losers, as the share fell by 0.83% to 119 euros. Krka was the most liquid company on the stock exchange on Thursday with a turnover of 1.17 million euros ($1.3 million).

The exchange’s daily trading turnover amounted to 3.5 million euros on Thursday, compared to 2.5 million euros on Wednesday.

The blue-chip SBITOP index rose 0.60% to 1,337.77 points. The SBITOP TR Index, which also tracks dividend payout, also gained 0.60%, finishing at 1,570.62 points.
