This is Derek Miller, speaking for business. rPlus Energies is a Salt Lake City-based renewable energy development company that has been instrumental in opening the Utah market to utility-scale solar energy development. President Luigi Resta shares more about how they help meet the demands of the modern energy transition.

rPlus Energies was founded four and a half years ago and develops utility-scale solar, wind and solar plus battery projects and, through a partnership known as rPlus Hydro, pumped-storage hydro projects.

In Utah alone, we have eight large-scale projects under development or construction, or in progress. Working closely with local stakeholders, landowners and county officials, rPlus developed Graphite Solar, which operates in Carbon County and is currently under construction at Appaloosa Solar in Iron County.

These Utah-based projects represent an investment of more than $2 billion in our economy and continue Utah’s energy legacy.
