TEL AVIV (Reuters) – Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) chairman Amnon Neubach will retire on Aug. 1 to consider new opportunities that could conflict with his current position, the exchange said Tuesday.

Neubach has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of TASE since 2014.

I recently received requests from several companies to take an active role in their operations, which could potentially create a conflict of interest, Neubach said in a letter to the board of directors, according to a stock exchange statement.

Those companies operate in the field of financial technology, which I personally find fascinating.

The board of TASEs will meet in the next several days to discuss Neubach’s decision and begin a hiring process for a new chairman, the statement said.
