Chipotle accepts TikTok resumes

HOUSTON (KIAH) Have you ever thought that you could get a job with your TikTok account? Now you can.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is looking for 15,000 new team members across the country. The company’s second Coast to Coast Career Day will be held on Thursday, July 15 from 8-10 a.m., then again from 2-5 p.m. local time.

Chipotle is one of the first brands to use TikTok to grow its workforce at a time when hiring isn’t always easy, and to meet applicants where they are.

TikTok resumes allow applicants to present themselves in unique and nontraditional ways, the company said in a press release. Applicants must use #TikTokResumes in their captions when publishing their video resumes, and they can apply for Chipotle positions until July 31.

Candidates hired to work at Chipotle have access to the following benefits, according to Chipotle:

• Recently increased wages for entry-level crew members ranging from $11 – $18 per hour, for an average wage of $15 per hour
• Advancement opportunities, such as advancing to a restaurateur, who has a six figure average pay, in just three and a half years
• A Crew Bonus program, which allows restaurant workers to earn an additional monthly wage each year to meet certain performance criteria
• The opportunity to earn a debt-free degree from leading, non-profit accredited universities in partnership with inGuild Education, after 120 days of employment
