Renowned television personality and esteemed host of the popular show “Mad Money”, Jim Cramer, has become a prominent critic of cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin (BTC).
In a bold statement on Jan. 9, Cramer informed his audience that the current climate presented a “good chance of getting out of crypto again,” specifically referring to Bitcoin’s trade value at $17,093.
However, it should be noted that since Cramer’s warning, the flagship digital asset has seen a remarkable rise, currently trading at $30,020, an impressive increase of 75%.

Year-to-date, BTC is up over 80%. Remarkably, in the past week alone, Bitcoin jumped 17%, illustrating its resolute upward trajectory. The value of the cryptocurrency rose from $25,500 to over $30,000, resulting in a substantial $80 billion increase in its market capitalization.
Such overwhelming interest in Bitcoin ETFs from esteemed institutional investors such as BlackRock(NYSE:BLK), Invesco, and WisdomTree has undoubtedly contributed to Bitcoin’s recent rise to prominence, further cementing its position as a digital asset of immense importance.
Cramer plays it safe in March
In March, Cramer expressed his belief that Bitcoin is an enigmatic entity subject to manipulation, pointing to Sam Bankman-Fried’s alleged involvement in its manipulation.
With an air of skepticism, he cautioned against assuming such manipulation had ceased, saying, “I think it is manipulated. He’s been manipulated the entire time by Sam Bankman-Fried, so don’t assume, therefore, that he isn’t manipulated yet.
The “Mad Money” host then advised:
I would sell my Bitcoin directly into this rally. And believe me, I had believed in Bitcoin at one point. But not here, not now.
Cramer continued his criticism by arguing for Bitcoin to sell off amid its ongoing rally, distancing himself from his previous belief in the cryptocurrency.
