Donald Trump 2024: ‘100%’ chance ex-POTUS will run and Joe Biden will fall, says Republican | Mundo | News

Mr. Trump has spent most of his time at his Mar-a-Lago resort in the state of sunshine, since he was defeated in the election by Joe Biden last year. In recent months, however, the 75-year-old has held a series of rallies for his enthusiastic supporters, adding to speculation that he intends to run again for America’s top job. Anthony Sabatini, an “America First” Republican, told Express.co.uk that he was almost certain Donald Trump would declare his candidacy and was confident he would run for another term in the Oval Office.

“I think there’s a 100% chance he’ll run and I think he’s going to be very competitive,” he said.

“I think Trump is going to be a very strong candidate and the bad achievements of the Biden administration I think really provide a big opening for Trump.

“I think he’ll win.”

The poll shows that the real estate billionaire remains hugely the favorite candidate among Republican voters.

A survey conducted by veteran Republican voter Tony Fabrizio of GOP voters in July said he would get nearly half the votes in a major contested.

“If he runs, he’s still the 800-pound gorilla,” Mr. Fabrizio noted.

Despite losing the 2020 election, Mr. Sabitini, who will run for Congress next year, views Mr. Trump as the party’s biggest asset with much to offer.

In particular, he believes the former President has expanded the party’s appeal to a wider scope and can continue to do so.

“I think he really is the strongest leader that can unify the party and I believe he can grow the party,” he commented.

“He’s been the best candidate we’ve had in a long time, probably since Reagan, in terms of raising the party and making it a working party and middle class party in this country and bring people to the party that if it didn’t even feel out of place, because of its historic image as a country club party. “

There has been a lot of speculation that Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida, will aspire to be the GOP presidential nominee in 2024.

His popularity with Republican voters across the country swelled, with Mr. Fabrizio calling him a “crown prince” in anticipation.

However, Mr. Sabatini said the Florida Governor has time on his side and should ideally run as Donald Trump’s Vice President.

“I think DeSantis is going to be one of our strongest candidates we can promote but I believe if Trump is going to run, DeSantis should personally be the vice-presidential nominee, and then I believe De Santis should run Trump, ”he said.

“He’s less than 50 years old which is a good age. I want him to run right after Trump.”

Not all Conservatives are sure that Donald Trump will be the perfect Presidential candidate heading into 2024.

Bob Vander Plaats, an influential activist from Iowa who supported Ted Cruz in 2016, has strong reservations about the former President’s chances of winning.

He told New York magazine: “I didn’t know he would be able to win.

“He will be able to win the primary but will he win the general?

“And calculating so many bases we love what President Trump did… but we have to win.”
