Trump: Mike Pence Deserved Chants Calling for Him to Behanged

[ad_1]

More than six years after he announced his candidacy for office and nearly five years after he was likely to become president, most people don’t need additional evidence to convince Donald Trump is a sociopath. But for those still on the fence, who need another example before saying, Okay, yeah, I see it, todays your lucky day.

In a taped interview with ABC’s Jonathan Karl, the 45th president widely defended his supporters ’decision to sing, hang Mike Pence as they attacked the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, which suggests that if the then VP does not want his life to be threatened, he should overturn. the election results as Trump requested of him. Here is a transcript of the conversation:

Karl: Did you worry about him during that siege? Are you worried for his safety?

Trump: No, I thought he was very protected, and I heard he was in good shape. No. Because I heard that he was in very good condition. But, but, no, I think

Karl: Because you heard the chants. Grabe yun. I mean

Trump: Fortunately, people are angry.

Karl: They say, Hang Mike Pence.

Trump: Because common sense, Jon. Its common sense that you should protect. How can you do if you know a vote is fraudulent, right how do you pass a fraudulent vote in Congress? How do you do that? And I tell you: 50/50, it’s right in the middle for top constitutional scholars when I talk to them. Anyone I’ve talked to with almost all of them almost agrees, and some totally agree with me because he passed a vote he knew was fraudulent. How can you pass a vote that you know is fraudulent?

Of course, Trump attacked Pence in his speech at the Stop the Steal rally that preceded the deadly attack on the Capitol, telling the crowd gathered at Ellipse, I hope Mike will do the right thing. I hope. Hopefully, and all Vice President Pence has to do is send it back to the states to recertify and we will be president and you are the worst man, and Mike Pence will have to pass for us, and if he can’t, that will be a, a sad day for our country because you have sworn to uphold our Constitution, and Mike Pence, I hope you will stand up for the good of our Constitution and for the good of our country. And if you don’t, I’ll be disappointed in you. I’ll tell you right now too. I don’t hear good stories.

Later, more than an hour after police reported that metal barricades outside the Capitol were breached and 12 minutes after the mob entered the building, Trump tweeted, MikePenceidnt have the courage to do what should have done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States the opportunity to prove a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones they were asked to prove previously. The USA demands the truth! During the turmoil, Trump called on lawmakers, not to see if everything was okay, but to continue to insist that the results should be returned. According to Senator Ben Sasse, who said he interacted with senior White House aides at the time, Trump was excited about the insurrection and was walking around the White House confused as to why other people on his team were not as excited as niya. Finally, after speaking out in public for hours, Trump came out in a video telling his supporters to go home while simultaneously telling the angry crowd, You are so special, and we love you. In a subsequent tweet, he wrote the historically insane series of words, which ultimately ousted him from the platform: These are the things and events that happen when a sacred erosion of election victory is meaningless and violent. removed from the great patriots who had been badly and unjustly treated for so long. Go home with love and peace. Remember this day forever!

So, honestly, it’s not surprising that 10 months later, Trump will keep his supporters doing nothing wrong, but it’s really legitimately mad that he’s saying here, basically, it came to Mike Pence.
