The Daily News publishes death notices and obituaries daily for Norfolkans, area residents and former residents.
Death notices, which include information about when and where a person died, funeral services, burial and visitation for the deceased and memorial information, are published free of charge.
If the families of the deceased wish to have the obituary printed, a fee is charged for doing so. Consequently, the families of the deceased can decide what information they want to include in the obituary, as well as whether they want a photo published with it. Daily News reserves the right to edit.
Norfolk and the funeral homes in the area have detailed information about the placement of the obituary in the Daily News. If individuals wish to submit obituary information themselves, it may be emailed to [email protected] or faxed to (402) 644-2080.
