The Los Angeles Rams are heading to the Super Bowl.
And Aaron Donald – perhaps the best player in football – helped with the big win that sent them there.
With his team dropping 10 points late in the third quarter of the Rams ’NFC title game thriller against the San Francisco 49ers, Donald offered his defensive squad an exciting motivational speech before they marched back to the gridiron.

The Rams ’defense didn’t give up even a single point from that moment, as their offense was able to close the gap in the resurgent fourth quarter. The Rams led with a 30-yard field goal with just 1:46 left in the game, leaving Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers a chance to test a game-winning drive in the final seconds.
Enter Donald.

Just three games into San Francisco’s last possession, the superstar defensive end muscled the 49ers ’offensive line and wrapped up Garoppolo for a pretty tackle. At the last possible moment before falling to the ground, the quarterback desperately threw the football upfield to avoid a sack, and it flew straight into the outstretched arms of fellow Los Angeles defender Travin Howard.
Ball game.

In a team with no shortage of star power, Donald is probably the most suitable player to reap massive success. Regarded by many as the most dominant player in football, the 6-foot-1, 284-pound force regularly strikes offensive lines and almost always commands a double or triple-team.
Even if he doesn’t get the same recognition as many of his counterparts on the other side of the ball-the quarterbacks, wide receivers, running backs, and tight ends-he almost certainly has a bigger impact than any night-in. and night- out. And now, he’s got himself a chance to showcase that talent on the biggest stage of all.
Super Bowl LVI, here he is.
