Donald Trump delivers heartbreaking Easter message as Melania breaks silence after arrest

Melania Trump on Sunday broke her silence for the first time since her husband’s indictment and arrest, while hubby Donald delivered a scathing message to critics.

“Happy Easter!” the former first lady tweeted above a photo of a pink rose, the first time she has posted something online since the Manhattan criminal firestorm engulfing her husband took off.

Melania was notably absent from her husband’s post-arraignment speech at their Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida last week.

At Mar-a-Lago Tuesday night, Trump made his first public comments hours after becoming the first commander-in-chief in US history to be arraigned on criminal charges.

I have a great family and they do an amazing job and we really appreciate it. They’ve been through a lot, the 76-year-old told about 400 supporters at his Palm Beach, Fla., home and club.

I have a child here [Don Jr.] who did a great job, another son here [Eric] who did a great job, and Ivanka, added Trump, referring to three of his four adult children.

And Barron will be great someday, the former president went on, shouting out his teenage son with third wife Melania. He is tall and smart.

The former first lady was not singled out for the accolade.

Melania’s father, however, was front and center at Mar-a-Lago for Trump’s impassioned speech even though Melania was nowhere to be seen.

Viktor Knavs, the 45th commander-in-chiefs father-in-law, stood between Eric Trump and his wife Lara, and Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, in a primetime address in Florida after Trump flew back from the big apple.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, the former president wrote in a rambling all-caps message posted on his Truth Social site, “Happy Easter to All” — including “weak & pathetic RINOS [Republicans in name only]” and “radical left Democrats, socialists Marxists, & communists” and others who oppose tighter border security and voting laws.

“HAPPY EASTER TO ALL, INCLUDING THOSE WHO LISTEN TO FOREVER RUINING OUR COUNTRY BECAUSE THEY CAN’T DREAM ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE,” Trump said.

“YOU ARE VERY INCOMPETENTS THEY DON’T KNOW THAT HAVING A BORDER & POWERFUL WALL IS A GOOD THING, & HAVING VOTER ID, ALL PAPER BALLOTS, & SAME DAY VOTING WILL QUICKLY END MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD, & TO WEAK & THOSE OF PATHETIC RINOS, RADICAL LEFT DEMOCRATS, SOCIALIST MARXISTS, & COMMUNISTS KILLING OUR COUNTRY, REMEMBER, WE WILL BE BACK!”

Trump last week pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to alleged hush payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels, as well as a “catch and kill” reporting scheme involving the National Enquirer and another alleged Trump mistress, Karen McDougal, in a case brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

The unprecedented accusation comes as Trump, 76, attempts a third time to capture the White House, running for the 2024 Republican nomination.

It follows a five-year investigation by the Manhattan District Attorneys Office into Trump and his businesses in an investigation that Republicans have blasted as a politically motivated crusade.

His lawyers, Susan Necheles and Joseph Tacopina, told The Post that Trump has not committed any crime and has vowed to vigorously fight political prosecution in court.
