We do not offer any opposition and voluntarily release Mr. Trump for trial, lawyer writes.

The Cohens’ lawyers issued a subpoena to Trump Jr. last week after a state court judge in Manhattan ruled in a final pretrial hearing that he could be called as a witness in the case.

The Cohens’ attorneys sought Trump Jr.’s testimony. for many reasons.

Trump Jr. has reportedly been granted legal coverage through the Trump Organization in an agreement known as indemnification for some of the same things Cohen is seeking reimbursement for.

Trump Jr. is also one of a small number of people who have approved legal expenses at the Trump Organization, the Cohens’ attorney said.

Jury selection in the case is set to begin on Monday and the trial is set to begin on July 24th.

Trump Jr.’s attorney requested to call him to testify on July 24th or July 25th due to scheduling conflicts.
