Dave Portnoy: Donald Trump and Barstool Sports Used Each Other

Jemele Hill will be looking to build on the success of her Jemele Hill’s Unbothered podcast as she launches The Unbothered Network to stream exclusively on Spotify. The Unbothered Network will be seen to empower black women’s voices and stories, providing a platform to the often marginalized segments of society who are asked to adapt to the voices of others, rather than develop their own.

The Unbothered Network is more than just a content hub, a space where Black women can see themselves, Hill said in a statement. There is so much about the lives of Black women that has not been investigated, and many of our stories have been removed or overlooked. I am also proud of this network because it is not only centered on Black women, but is also run by Black women. We cannot empower Black women if they are not positioned in leadership roles.

Christina M. Tapper, former deputy editor of Mediums ZORA will serve as executive director and head of content while Rich Boerner, formerly of Cadence13, will be head of production. It’s another play of the podcast-hosting giant’s exclusivity, which previously locked Joe Rogan and The Ringer among others.

We are excited to expand our partnership with unparalleled Jemele Hill, said Courtney Holt, Spotifys head of studios and video. A recognized journalist, storyteller, podcaster and creative whose bold and genuine take on politics in society, sports and culture shines attention on topics often overlooked. We can’t wait for him to continue his podcast, and bring new and diverse talent to his network that empowers and strengthens the voices of this important community.
