Former President Donald Trump commented on the name change of Indians

Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States, commented on the Cleveland Indians ’announcement on Friday to rename the teams to the Guardians.

The Clevelands baseball team will go from the Indians to the Guardians

Trump released the following statement:

Can any Cleveland Indians, a hidden and cherished baseball franchise since taking the name in 1915, believe that they merged their name with the Guardians? Such a shame, and I guarantee that the people who are most angry about it are the many Indians of our Country. Wouldn’t it be an honor to have a team named the Cleveland Indians, and wouldn’t it be disrespectful to cut out that name and logo off those jerseys? Cleveland citizens can’t rejoice and I, as a former DALING baseball fan, can’t believe things like this. A small group of people, with absolutely crazy ideas and policies, are forcing these changes to destroy our culture and heritage. At some point, people will no longer take it!
