CHARLESTON, SC (AP) Authorities closed roads in South Carolina for more than an hour Tuesday to investigate a bomb threat that turned out to be a wedding dress, Charleston Police said.
A person who saw a woman crammed a large package into a mailbox called 911, Charleston Police spokesman Charles Francis said in a statement.
Officers responded and determined the package contained a wedding dress that a woman wanted to return in the mail, Francis said.
The road reopened after more than an hour. The statement did not say if the wedding dress was damaged.
