Say Yes to Dress Star Randy Fenoli Doesn’t Trust Bridezillas

Randy Fenoli from Say Yes to the Dress fame has seen its fair share sue the bride through a series of 22 current seasons.

Even so, he said he took issue with the term bridezilla. In fact, he didn’t even believe such a bride existed. On the other hand, Fenoli insists that the pressure of picking the perfect dress is enough to make anyone act up.

People ask me all the time, How do you face the bride? said Fenoli at an event announcing his partnership with Princess Cruise in New York City on Thursday. I have a woman in front of me who has never done this before and she is anxious. This was the most important outfit she had ever worn and everyone was pressuring it.

She notes that managing the bridal entourage that is often brought in for consultations and shopping trips can actually make the experience more stressful for women.

If you want to buy a car, you go buy a car. You want to buy a house, you buy a house. You don’t take your childhood friend and your mother-in-law with you and say, What do you think? You don’t need their opinion,” he added.

Part of the stress of looking for a wedding dress, explains Fenoli, stems from insecurity.

[Brides are] just really afraid they won’t find something that makes them look pretty. And I have to say in 30 years, I’ve never sent a bride down the aisle naked, so I guarantee she’ll find a dress,” he added.

Fenoli also gave a playful nod to her hit TLC series in her chat, saying, It’s much harder for a woman to say yes to a dress than it is for her to say yes to a groom.

As she plans her own wedding to fiancé Mete Kobal, whom she proposed to in December 2022, Fenoli tells PEOPLE that she reminds brides to prioritize what’s really important about their wedding.

There are only a few things that last after marriage. You have photos, videos, couples and wedding dresses. Everything else is lost. The cake is gone, the music is gone, the place is gone, the flowers are dead and everything is gone, but the memories are still there and you can see it in the photos and the dresses,” she said.

Fenoli spoke of his dislike of his bridezilla days when announcing his partnership with Princess Cruisewhere he hopes to relieve the stress of the bride’s wedding planning.

She was named the brand’s love and romance ambassador to consult wedding on a ship, and will also be hosting a special bridal fashion cruise in December. Fenoli called the partnership a match made in heaven.

[Princess Cruises] the attention to detail, everything they do, I think really reflects who I am and my brand, says Fenoli. I want to make sure that every bride is taken care of with the attention to detail of every dress and everything. And I’m so excited about this bridal fashion cruise.
