Dubbed the dress that broke the internet, this viral moment of 2015 was discussed globally as images of the gown, worn by the mother of the bride to the couple’s wedding, were shared online by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber. and sparked debate.

The image, which was shared on the online platform Tumblr by a wedding guest before it went viral, also gave rise to a series of new studies about color perception and human vision. The dress was acquired from UK-based retailer Roman Originals.

The couple, however, recently appeared at the High Court in Glasgow as her husband, Keir Johnston, has been charged with the attempted murder of Grace Johnston. According to British media reports, Keir Johnston has denied the allegations.

Guard reports that Johnston, 38, is accused of more than a decade of domestic violence against Grace, including attempted murder and forced control.

The abuse allegedly culminated with Johnston threatening to kill his wife while brandishing a knife and attempting to strangle her. The case is slated for trial in 2024.

Johnston is accused of repeatedly assaulting his wife in their home in the Inner Hebrides, an archipelago off the west coast of mainland Scotland.

Media outlets have reported that in addition to the attempted strangulation, Johnston allegedly hit his wife through an open vehicle window, dragged her from a pub by a headlock after she refused to go with him and monitor her movements and finances.
