HIROMI ASAI Presents Resort Collection for the First Time, Made of Kimono Textile, During Miami Swim Week

NEW YORK, 6 July 2021 /PRNewswire/ — New York-based fashion brand HIROMI ASAI, (www.hiromiasainy.com) has tried to revive the essence of Japanese Kimono for modern luxury fashion. The designer, Hiromi Asai, first displayed Kimono on the runway of New York Fashion Week in 2016. Then, HIROMI ASAI developed menswear made entirely of Japanese Kimono textiles, which were presented at the Pitti Uomo and other major trade shows in the US every season since 2017. The HIROMI ASAI collection is award-winning and has received extensive international media coverage.

HIROMI ASAI presents the Resort 2022 clothing collection on the runway at the Flying Solo Show at Miami beach, starting at 16:00 ET on Thursday, July 8, 2021. The theme of the collection is “Ocean”. The HIROMI ASAI Resort collection represents the dignity of living with the sea. Most of the HIROMI ASAI resort collections are made with “Tango Chirimen” silk crepes dyed ombre in Tango, Kyoto, Japan. A weaver, Hayato Tamoi, a dyeing craftsman, Tomohisa Kobayashi, and Hiromi Asai created a cobalt blue textile using traditional techniques. Another work is made with ‘Sumi-Nagashi” “Shioze” marble silk fabric in Gosen, Niigata. Based on the design and textile selection by Hiromi Asai, Teruo Hirokawa, an expert in handmade sewing at Japan, adjusted all sections. HIROMI ASAI demonstrates luxury fashion with unique textiles that stand out and sophisticated designs, crafted with exceptional sewing techniques. The HIROMI ASAI resort collection lends itself to elegant attire in a resort but is the embodiment of Japanese craftsmanship.
