After highlighting Jokowi, Gerindra asked JakPro to make a Sunter ITF timeline

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) referred to the construction of a waste power plant or intermediate treatment plant (ITF) Sunter, North Jakarta (Yakut). Gerindra DPRD DKI members asked Jakarta Propertindo (JakPro) as the project developer to prepare a timeline for the progress of ITF Sunter.

“I asked them to do it. So far they have not opened it, the timeline has never been revealed. So we can see things going well, it turned out that at the end of the year it was like this,” said. DKI DPRD member from the Gerindra group, Syarif, when contacted on Saturday (December 24, 2022).

“Logically, the money will be invested in PMD (regional equity share), which will go to JakPro, it is people’s money. People want to know what the timeline is like,” said Commission D DPRD DKI secretary.

Syarif said that the Sunter ITF project had been stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in 2020 and 2021. However, currently the regional budget has improved and ITF projects should not be stopped anymore.

“We understand that two years of porous PAD (regional initial income). This year is encouraging, don’t repeat it (drunk),” he said.

He is optimistic about the project ITF Sunter will be completed in 2023, as long as the three parties to the project work together.

“It’s optimistic that it will be completed in 2023 under the circumstances. It’s a bit complicated, but it’s starting to unravel. In Sunter ITF, related parties sit together, hang out together. Don’t sit together, don’t hang out. Who is it? Environmental service, JakPro and private partners,” he said.

Earlier, President Jokowi admitted that he was furious because Jakarta’s waste management business was not over. Jokowi highlighted the waste management project in Sunter, North Jakarta by building an incinerator.

According to him, the project has been going on for a long time, even when he was still the governor of DKI Jakarta. So far, however, it has not materialized.

“When I became governor of DKI, Sunter, we started until I became governor, I have not signed yet. Although we have planned it, I don’t know if it is done now,” said Jokowi at the National Working Meeting of the Environmental Fund Management Agency (BPDLH) in 2022 at AA Maramis Building, Coordinating Ministry of Economy, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (December 21).

By 2023, he asked for the completion of this project. Most recently, Jokowi asked DKI Jakarta’s acting from Governor Heru Budi for completing this project.

“But I have doubts, not because of Mr. Heru, but because it has always been like that. Be careful in 2023, you can step back,” said Jokowi.
