Love Island’s double-dump has fans reeling in brutal ‘setting’ at Tyler’s expense

The jaws of Love Island viewers across the country fell on Wednesday night as islanders were hit by a double dumping bomb.

If this year’s contestants thought the drama was over for a while after the Casa Amor fallout, they were sadly wrong because the script invited them to a fire pit where they were then informed that the audience was voting for their favorite couple.

With dramatic music playing backstage, Liberty and Jake, Chloe and Toby, Faye and Teddy, Millie and Liam, Abi and Dale were all described as safe.

And there was a particularly cruel moment for Tyler when he had to read the script that declared Kaz and Matthew safe, minutes after seeing Love Island viewers tell Matthew that he still cared about her very much.

Viewers were stunned by the producers’ brutal move, with one tweeting, “How the producers actually sent the script to save Kaz and Matthew to Tyler,” and another replying: “SHAAADDE SENDING TYLER THE TEXT TO SAY KAZ AND MATTHEW ARE SAFE”

A third response: “The producers are wrong to send Kaz and Matthew’s script to Tyler but I’m here for it.”

Tyler and Clarice, the girl he just ended things with, find themselves in the bottom 3 alongside Mary, Sam, Hugo and Amy, with the latter couple admitting that there will be a “distance” between them.

Then came the big shock – two boys and two girls needed to leave the villa while deciding which one to save falling on the shoulders of the safe islanders.

Always a big fan of throat cuts by the producers, unlike the islanders themselves, viewers at home celebrated the double-dumping, with one tweeting: “Finally, the villa was packaged to my liking.”
