Former Love Island couple Jake and Liberty have discontinued the show after their split yesterday (August 19).
It comes after 24 shrinking hours for the pair, who together have been the tallest of everyone in the villa, but things might have gone differently if Jake had fought for their relationship as Liberty had clearly hoped.
In tonight’s episode, they agreed to go on their deadline together, which consisted of relaxing on a yacht in the clear waters to talk things through.

“I don’t know what happened along the way, but obviously the spark just fizzled out…” Liberty reflected, before her ex-husband suggested that since opening up about their “issues and insecurities,” things seemed to go downhill.
After a long conversation, Jake offers to leave the villa alongside Liberty, and the Love Island trip is apparently over.
They shared this heartbreaking news with fellow islanders about the fire pit once they returned, setting up waterworks for the likes of Faye, Millie, and Chloe.

Liberty declared, “We have come to the conclusion that at this moment it is better for us to go our separate ways, and we will leave the villa.”
“Obviously we don’t want to be here and occupy a place when you guys are all obviously strong couples and that was us at some point, but we’re not anymore.”
“We don’t want to suck the life out of her,” Jake said, “you know what I mean?”
In a slow farewell shot, the duo walked away side by side in good conditions.
Love Island airs on ITV2, available via catch-up on the ITV Hub, with episodes available the next morning for BritBox subscribers.
